Hi, I'm Fred, welcome to my website!
I'm 30 years old and have lived in Volusia County for 29.5 of them. I graduated from Mainland High School in 1999, where I participated
in the science and technology "academies". I took a special interest in programming and networking and have been doing both ever since. The half
year mentioned above was spent in Chicago working on the network operations team of a 20,000 user Internet service provider. It was a great experience,
but I missed my friends and family in Florida and decided to come back.
Over the past 13 years, I've had a chance to work on many
interesting projects both as an employee and as an independant consultant. I think the experience and resources I have from both angles gives me a unique
insight most consultants lack. Consulting full-time takes something away from an in depth understanding of day to day operations. Most consultants never
have to directly interact with end users, so they don't have incentive to implement simple solutions that are easy to use and solve the real world problems.
My experience ranges from network administration, to programming, to user support. I've been in the trenches, so I know that there's more to implementing a
successful solution than setting it up and sending a bill. I've seen solutions designed that addressed all the given requirements, but that were
so complicated to use and impossible to understand that nobody used them. The best solution is the solution that meets your needs, is reliable and easy to use,
and simple for you and your employees to understand. That's the kind of solution I like to design.
